Fiddlesticks Silence

Does anybody else ever feel that Fiddlesticks silence is just a LITTLE BS?

The duration of the silence is pretty solid, and can land 5 TIMES IN ONE CAST. I think either the duration or the bounce count needs to be reduced.

The only way to shut down a Fiddlesticks engage as it is occuring is to burst him down, but how is that even possible with this silence? Queuing alone means your team will not coordinate. No coordination means Fiddle has an extremely easy time getting good ults off, especially in mid-low elo. His silence stops anyone in a teamfight from using abilities to burst him down, and on top of this, a core item for him is ZHONYAS. This can only mean that he absolutely will not die when diving into 5 people as a SQUISHY initiator unless his opponents are pretty damn fed.

Thus, I think that an E nerf for Fiddlesticks will put him in a much more balanced position. I mean, what sense does it make that he can shred a team of 5 with his huge AoE radius ultimate, while ALSO silencing a team of 5? Many will argue that it's difficult for Fiddle to do what he does, but that argument is 100% invalid in a game against an uncoordinated team. He doesn't even really need to be fed to do it...

Note: Most of my arguments apply to mid-low and OCCASIONALLY high elo games.

Please let me know what you think of Fiddlestick's current state in the game.

TL;DR I really believe his silence needs a duration or bounce nerf, or to be replaced by something else that's a bit more balanced for the game. Something doesn't need to do a ton of damage in order to be broken!

His E can bounce 5 times in one cast, only hitting you a max of 3 times, and the silence is capped out at 1 time. The first time it hits is the only time it silences, the rest is just damage.

Traditionally, Fiddlesticks tapers off in high elo because of vision. High level players will ward a lot more often and in better places than lower level players do, and it's really hard for Fiddlesticks to get a good ulti off when everyone on the enemy team walks away when they see him channeling. Then again, Fiddlesticks players will also have a better grasp of vision control, allowing them to set up good ults much easier as well.

Lower level players don't understand the vision game nearly as well, so it's understandable that Fiddlesticks would be much stronger at that point in the game. It's also worth noting that Dark Wind does have both a cast time and a travel time, meaning there's still some time to kill Fiddlesticks between his ultimate and his silence, not to mention that most Fiddlesticks players will cast Fear instead because fearing a priority target often times has a bigger impact than silencing an entire team, and the exceptions are likely going to instantly cast Zhonya's Hourglass because they will die before his cast times end.

Oh, and his E bounces 6 times. It was changed to 7 when the mage update came out, but he was a bit too strong, so it was nerfed to 6 bounces. 5 was what it used to be.

They made a change to this ability a long time ago. The damage was buffed, the duration of the silence was buffed, however....

Old Dark Wind: Each hit would induce silence, causing it to last for 2-3 seconds. New Dark Wind: May hit a target multiple times, but can only silence for 1.25 seconds one time.

I'm guessing you never played the game when Fiddle could literally silence you multiple times off just one cast. The change they did to it was one of the biggest nerfs ever to a champ. He is perfectly fine as is right now.
