Leaver, Placement and Frustration

I have played LoL ever since it came out. I have also rarely posted but am a huge fan of the game. I have recently started playing my placement matches in Ranked Solo/Duo. I was Gold 3 in S5 and ended Silver 4 in S6 due to less playing and a bad run.
If you check my entire career, I would have on my record maybe 1 or 2 leaver penalties in 6 years from internet failed or power outage, whatever. I have never consciously left a game IN MY LIFE. In the past three months, I have had three client crashes that have caused me 3 Leaver marks on my account. I had to reboot, wait for the corrupt file check and end up with a Leaver. I regularly reboot before I play matches now to try and stop this serious problem as I HATE having Leaver on my account WHEN I DID NOT LEAVE. I have fully reinstalled the entire game from scratch. Anyways, I have now played 4 of my placement matches. First one I won. Second was a brutal loss but I have played long enough to deal with that. Third one we had an afk or whatever and we did not get to remake? Anyways, we put up a good fight but late game it was 4v5, even though our Lux came after client crash, we were too far back. Match 4, my client crashed, I quickly rebooted, got INTO the game and I was running down the lane, WHAMO, I get the Leaver hit. WTF!
I don't mind losing but I do mind losing to bullpoop. So I am sitting at 4 games in, 3 losses and a serious fear of logging in to get a Leaver hit every time I start the game. I wrote this post because I am sitting here waiting for my Leaver penalty to run down and I can play again. Are the fates telling me it is time to move on? I love this game and I am extremely impressed with Riot but these Leaver hits on my account are killing me. They are not accurate or fair. Not sure what anyone would do but I feel like it is my duty to give feedback due to my frustration.
