Riot I would like some insight about the intended vs results of trinity changes.

No one seemed to rush trinity over other options anymore. Not Irelia, Not Jax, Not ezreal who have all been historic trinity buyers.

It is out classed by rageblade and IBG for basically any champ that has rushed it consistently given the price difference and effective overall power/utility.

Irelia and Jax want attack speed and the 10% more crit chance is not making up for the 15% less attack speed and 5 less AD since they have a lot of their power in on hit.

What I want to know is about that supposed on hit concept that was mentioned in preseason. If done right it would have clear synergy with several champs who have historically bough trinity be it ezreal with his Q (this is better for his Q since his Q can not crit but does apply on hit damage), Irelia with bladesurge (applies on hit but can not crit), Jax with his empowered attack reset or even Lucian with his double attack passive (second attack applies on hit and can crit but base/crit damage does reduced damage to enemy champs and monsters). This is just to name a few who would find value in an on hit focused trinity. Yes this would be good for Yi and Shyvana as well; I am not saying that Sated Devourer is in a healthy place currently but that is a different topic.

What caused the decision to put 10% CDR on sheen instead of say 5% movement speed which every item sheen builds into besides IBG has? IBG with 5% movement speed and 10% CDR would not be a deal breaker given that there are several other tank CDR options to make maxing it not a challenge.

Did 20% crit chance and 15% attack speed really feel so much better then say 30% attack speed and 30ish on hit damage be it magic or physical? Basically replacing Zeal with Recurve Bow.

Was a lack of Movement speed if zeal was removed one of the problems? Would movement speed being added to sheen have solved that problem?

I would like to know so I can get some better idea of why this more crit focused trinity form came to be. And perhaps get someone to work on Trinity so it is back in a state that feels about as good as it felt last season.
