If you've been stuck in bronze for years, like you said, I don't think picking a " ** low elo champion** " will help you out that much. It seems to me that the more urgent problem, here, is your game knowledge and decision making.
Not that I know you, or know anything about you, but if you stay in bronze for years, that means, for me at least, that you don't have the fundamentals right. It doesn't matter what " low elo champ " you pick in bronze, if your decision making is bad, you will get stuck in there.
I know that for some players, in low elo, it's hard to climb since most of your teammates are as bad as you, or even worse. But your enemy team will be as bad as you and that's exactly where game knowledge and decision making can give you the upper hand. Almost everyone in low elo plays those " low elo champions " because they have a very low skill cap. So what's gonna make or break your game is not the champions you pick there, but what you do macro wise.
Macroplay is the easiest way to win in low elo. Here is some tips to help you climb out of bronze:
-
Stick to your gameplan: If you're playing
, stick to split pushing. That's his forte! If you do it correctly, by getting vision around your side of the map and having vision on enemy team at all times, you can soak pressure off of your teammates, get objectives and stall out the game until you, and your team, get enough items to win the fights.
-
Never get baited by your teammates bad decision making. If you see a fight is about to happen, or someone got caught, don't get baited into fighting. Just walk away, go farm that huge minion wave stacking up in the side lanes or go pressure those turrets.
-
Objectives! That's the name of the game here. Always prioritize objectives over anything else! If your whole team dies foolishly mid but you took out that top inhib, for example, it's always worth it. Because the enemy will split up, in lower elo, and send some people to stop you from hitting the Nexus turrets while others will try to push for turrets... They will not commit or anything, which is bad for them and good for you.
-
Play the laning phase to your strengths. If you're a poke heavy champ, poke the hell out of your enemy and concentrate of farming. If you're sustain based champ, look for extended trades and establish dominance. If you're a tank and get poked easily, look to farm safely.
-
Give up cs! I can't stress this enough. So many low elo players lose lane and lose the game because they don't recognize that they need to give up cs in early game if their champ is weak or if they did an oopsy and gave up their lead early game. If you're in a losing match up, give up some cs and keep your health up at all times! That's gonna help you in the long run when you finally see that opportunity to go all in, or your jungler came to gank for you, and get a kill on the enemy laner. That wouldn't be possible if you had 20% HP in lane because you got poked out of lane when you tried to last hit those canon or ranged minions. Also, getting poked to low HP for trying to cs is the easiest way for the enemy team to dive you, whether solo or gangbang style.
-
Don't flame! Especially in low elo, flaming is counter productive and people will go AFK and rage quit on you. Some will even int your games. Just /mute all for your own sake and play the game.
-
Accept defeat and move on. Sometimes, you will do everything, or most of it, properly but still lose. That happens. Don't tilt or rage on your teammates. Just accept defeat, take a breath, and move on. take a break if you think you're not in mood to play right after that loss. Don't rush things, play to your own pace. You're not in a hurry, ranked is running nowhere. League is going nowhere.
