Skarner Changes: Juggernaut update

Just a few ideas concerning the new Skarner update I've been playing around with.

Some history. I've played league of legends for a long while now (at least it seems that way), and during my time, Skarner as the first champion release that really jumped out at me, and got into my wallet. Since then, Skarner has seen some up's and downs in playability, but none the less the little bug has been my go-to for jungle fun.

Before the feedback, let me praise the creativity behind the changes we've seen for the juggernaut update. Giving Skarner a unique and interesting way of competing in the jungle is a good way to get people to play him, to see what it's like on the good end of the stinger. But this is not what -needs- to be for Skarner to secure a balanced and appreciable position in the game. There are some problems not only with his balance but the way he now functions as a champion, and the impacts to game.

  1. Spires are too big a part of skarner. This is mainly a complaint that Skarner players may feel pigeon holed into playing jungle to get the biggest benefit from the spires themselves. IF Skarner goes top lane, his passive is worthless for the majority of his time spent in the rift.

  2. His E does too much damage. The flat damage for Skarner's E is too high considering the stun that follows, and by maxing it first Skarner can Effectively build tanky while gaining damage at the same relative speed of other junglers who are building damage items. The shift towards a more AD based Skarner was a good one, but the damage of this ability outweighs his Q, which has historically been where Skarner's damage came from (Besides Sheen).

  3. His Q does too little damage. This may just be in comparison to what I have seen of other junglers, but in relation to his E, Skarner's Q has lost a lot of it's power. I understand that Skarner's Q is a sustained damage ability; to be spammed in the middle of teamfights while simultaneously using your other abilities and autoattacks in tandem, so I may well be wrong here, but it -feels- weak in his new kit.

These are not calls for nerfs, as I understand that Skarner is to be hotfixed a week after my writing this. This is all simply feedback as a Skarner player, wanting to help or understand the direction his favorite purple scorpion is headed.

Thanks in advance.

Skarner ^_^
