Why am i having so many issues?

Came back after a break and im having tons of issues now, first of all, league is lagging, for no reason? every other game i play is perfectly fine with a steady 40 ping, but league climbs all the way up to 300 for no fucking reason, also, i cant alt tab out of the client, the game client goes black afterwards and im forced to restart
