How do relatively higher elo players fare in low elo?

So I've read a few forums saying things like "I'm -insert high elo- and -insert low elo- is surprisingly tough. How accurate is this?

Say, hypothetically, a plat player is in a bronze 1 game, where the enemy AND the 4 team-mates are all bronze 1 - silver 1, is it possible for the plat to do bad in lane and be categorized as a feeder? or will they just demolish their lane without exception all the time?

Will team work really matter to them or will they be able to carry solo while the rest of their team derps?

My questions stem from the fact that even though I'm in bronze 1, I've noticed that with a team that can communicate with me and follow my pings, we do amazing work and most often than not we end up winning the game by a considerable margin, but when I don't get such a team but instead a team that derps, even if I get fed in lane we still lose, again by a considerable margin. This makes me think, what if i got placed in a plat game and coordinated with my team, will we be able to win or will I be the black sheep of the team?

"IF" I think Im silver/gold material, should I be able to solo carry these games or is losing okay?

I'm mainly play top, and most of the time I do really well, but quite a few times Im up against someone that completely demolishes me and I just sit there wondering how. Is it because they are a smurf or are they just considerably better at their champion than I am with mine?

Sometimes I go on long win streaks and feel godly, and then other times I lose so many games in a row not to mention I end up feeding my enemy laner in those.

How should I go about dealing with this and improving myself?

What prompted me to post this is basically facing a fiora and getting my ass handed to me because she would perfectly time her riposte with my empowered W (Renekton) every time and I would lose the fight instantly. But the very next game I was up against fiora again as renekton and I proceeded to take down their tier 2 tower before 10mins.

My champions are: TOP = Renekton, pantheon (vs teemo), Garen, darius, iv recently picked up aatrox too. MID = Yasuo, Zed JG = Xin, shyvana, shaco, udyr

In high elo I farm.

In low elo I farm champions.

Hecarim Khazix Pantheon are very good for this since they heavily punish people that don't have foresight and prediction. If you know Hecarim is coming its very easy to avoid his ganks but if you have to wait until you see him on wards it's already too late.

It depends on how well the player adapts.

When I was playing in Silver (after starting ranked in S5), I didn't even bother attempting to rotate around objectives because the vast majority of games became a pseudo-ARAM.

Everyone on both teams would just constantly group around a random objective (typically mid-lane, Dragon, or Baron). To take advantage of this tendency, I'd pick siege champions with moderate CC (i.e. Varus, Ziggs, Xerath, Lux) to waveclear and poke the opponent down before fights. People were pretty poor at dodging, so they'd quickly drop to half-health before someone got caught and a fight started.

Farm mattered far less because of how easy it was to kill opponents. While farm still mattered (because you never want to turn down free gold and to build an initial advantage), dying and losing towers could quickly demoralize the enemy team and make them start flaming one-another.

Well I'm d1 currently on my main account. This one is perma banned but is my boards account. Anyways, whenever I play in low elo I come out with around a 80% winrate. Played b5-diamond runs before, make it to plat with around 80% winrate, get to diamond with high/mid 70s.

I find intermediate bots to be harder than gold 5 ranked games. If you can crush bots, then you should have no problem getting to plat.

As a D5 player who recently climbed through Silver on a smurf, I've got to say Silver players were quite a bit better than I remember than they were last time I made a smurf, about 2 years ago.

I noticed if I trolled at all they'd quickly punish me and I'd struggle to maintain a 50% winrate.

However once I stopped trolling and started tryharding and treating my opponent like they were my equal I won almost every single game.

Silver players make a lot of mistakes that a better player can easily punish, however they're good enough these days so I just can't force stupid plays on them and expect to come out ahead because of my mechanics.
