Does Diana feel weak late game?

Feel like I'm doing no damage, even after getting void/sorc boots. My combo literally only does 25-35% of the enemy adc/apc health. She needs a %health ability maybe? Or small rework. Does anyone else agree with me?

Depends on what build path you're doing. Standard build goes like: Abyssal or Zhonya's first (against AD or AP?) then either a DFG if you're ahead or a Rabadon's. Zhonya's is pretty core on her for a Q+R+E+W and then zhonya's is powerful (but a little dangerous.) If you feel like you aren't doing as much damage, Try to get an early lead and see if you can rush a lich bane after your second item purchase (Zhonya's+Rabadon's or DFG). I don't think rushing it is good but I really haven't tested it out much.

To be fair, after they nerfed her shield, she has been missing power, but people don't understand that power was moved to her passive. The most important aspect to Diana (in my opinion) is that passive proc. It deals 250 plus 80% of her AP at level 18. (This is more than one of her R dashes.) It goes fantastic with her her Q+R+Auto+W+Auto+R+Auto and either that person is dead, or is 1/3 health.

But as what used to be a Diana main, I can agree that she's in an odd place. She has sustained damage(?) but is burst, but is also tanky. Is she an AP Bruiser? Sure. an Assassin? Works like one. A Tank initiator? Almost has the kit for it. I do sense the eventually rework soon.

Yeah I do

I don't agree. Diana has strong burst late game if you execute her combo properly. It's generally a good idea to build her tanky: Zhonya's Hourglass is like a must-have item to play her optimally.

Yes diana kinda falls off late game, its not that she doesnt do damage anymore, its that she can get lucky and kill an adc or apc but then shes got no way to get out and will likely die.

Her early and mid game is still really good tho. Honestly coming from an ex diana main theres just better champs than her now. shes not tanky enough and not assassin enough. I honestly wish riot would just turn her into a full assassin it would help her a lot.

her q > r > w does atleast 3/4th of their hp, idk what you're building

Ha no she doesn't she just dives into an enemy team. Rest in peace squishes.

i don'T really feel like i lack damage, but she really lacks survivabillity for lategame clashes since the shield got gutted. Imo she needs a small rework pushing her more in the ap-bruiser direaction.

She doesn't lack damage, she lacks the ability to deal damage. At late game she won´t be able to initate (Because she gets gutted), her Q range feels bad, ADC and APC are protected, and enemy champ gets a deffensive item that either stops your combo (Banshee) or makes burst useless (GA).

In the other way, AS/Tank Diana feels much better at late game. Nashor/Abyssal/Rilay/Zhonya/Trinity/Lucidity makes her sustained damage output really high, she is hard to killl (40% CDR, high armor and MR) thanks to spammable shield, and can still outburst the enemy carry. But this build sucks at mid game, so...

The way I play her (a bit of AS, a bit of AP, a bit of survivability), she really only gets powerful late game... With enough AS/AP, you can get a passive proc every couple of seconds, and your passive hits like a truck (and usually hits multiple enemies). But I also jungle with her (I feel like she fits there much better than mid lane), so I build a lot more sustained damage early game in comparison to midlane Dianas.

I'd be interested in what else you're building, as Void and Sorc's can the only pure offense some Diana's get. Diana's problem from way back when is actually kind of the inverse of Riven: While Riven doesn't have to build defense to get passable defense, Diana didn't have to build damage to deal damage. Now that she does, you have to actually choose between lethality and survivability and I'm actually ok with that. That said, in her current state she's overshadowed by some others in a lot of ways so I'd love to see a rework happen that would let her be more powerful without being oppressive again.

Her late game isn't weak it's her pre 6 that holds her back

D1rtFarmer10/18/2014, 7:05:52 PM1 votes

Yes... ever since her nerf.. she's been missing kill power
