Stop starting matches until everyone connects
Another game of ranked, another match that starts 4v5
There is no reason for this. A match should never, ever, ever start until all 10 players connect.
Especially not in ranked.

I just won my first ranked match in, well, many, many matches.
I was first pick, took Vlad and said I was willing to either mid or top. Teammates proceeded to pick Master Yi, Soraka and Graves. I tell the last pick we need something tanky. He picks Lulu mid.
Sighing heavily, and expecting YET another loss, the match started. And lo and behold, the enemy Ekko never made it in. I want you to understand that we should never, EVER have won that match. Everyone was playing terribly and our picks were idiotic and the Lulu was just going "LOL IM LAGGING SOOOOOO MUCH" as soon as the match started yet we still won because there is no way to win a 4v5 unless the enemy team is either extremely incompetent or plagued by trolls.
Next months, LoL will have been out for 6 years. There is still no pausing. There is still no safe-to-leave feature. There is still no automated loss forgiven if a player never connects in ranked. There is still no voice chat. Graves doesn't have a cigar.
This could also result in a new level of trolling/griefing. Keeping people in a semi-permanent load screen would become very possible and very easily done.
But what if someone doesn't connects for a really long time, let's say because their connection is down or they experience a power cut? Does this mean everyone would have to wait?
This cannot be done until Riot has a bay to cancel a match once it's started, otherwise we could be sitting there forever.
They should honestly make it so if atleast 2 people dont connect, the game doesn't even start..
In general, when I have a slow loader or a disconnect, it's because someone got impatient and closed their client to restart it. They wind up coming back a few minutes into the game and sure, it's a little annoying, but it isn't Riot that disconnected them. It's the player.
On a related subject, lobbies shouldn't appear until everyone is connected to it. This way, no one calls their role without everyone else seeing and a lot of confusion can be avoided.
Refer to Dota 2 for my take on what should be happening. Just try to play a game 4v5 against your will in Dota 2. You can't. The only reason anyone stays for 4v5s is for item drops in that game.
Please, for the love of everything, this. We need this! It's a ranked game, meant to be a balanced competitive match, a 4vs5 is not a balanced match, and it ends up punishing a whole team who are not at fault. The arguement that a 4vs5 is winable is not a proper arguement, as the teams in theory is equal in the sense that their team MMR is equal, meaning that if one person is missing, while possible, will not win the match.
I hear about all these great systems they use in Dota for these kind of things, and I always wish that Riot would add these features to Lol too. It has made me consider switching to Dota 2 quite a lot of times.
Please implement this Riot
The loading screen needs a lot of improvements...
For one I'd like to KNOW if I D/Cd instead of sitting there staring at my '100% loaded' wondering how much of a potato everyone else is playing on
Logged in just to upvote. C'mon Rito, get on this!
I do NOT want to be able to cook my dinner before a match starts... I've already dealt with 15 minute loading times from teammates and opponents....
Then sometimes it just wouldn't start at all. Yeah, maybe cancelling the match would be a good idea, but it would be also really annoying.
This needs to be addressed
And then the game doesn't start for 2 hours.
Easy solution is to make it if not everyone connects within a certain time, everyone has the option to leave the game, or the game goes back to match making without that player.
If someone doesnt connect / leaves the game, pause the game. After a certain amount of time, If a certain amount of players vote to just end the game, then the game should automatically close and nobody will receive the negative effects of it except for the player who leaves via LeaverBuster, so everyone else can just start a new game and move on.
This is quite literally the best thing I've read on the forums ever.
