Champion levels, quests and blue essence

Hi there! I have played league since season one and have been enjoying the game more or less since. But when the game mode "aram" came out it hooked me, it was a fast paced nonlinear game play.

But how is there that none of your stats or rewards are found in aram? You got new features but they are still restricted to ranked and normal games. If I play good and contribute to the team wins and get honored and S+ shouldnt I get rewarded a champion upgrade for doing a good job or do you guys think its only fair to give it in ranked games? Dont champion level reflects the knowledge of the champion? And ranking to the knowledge of summoners rift.

Im more a casual guy, and sure I played normals and a few ranked the first seasons but since it became a esport hype the mentality of the player based have become so toxic, atleast for me, that I prefer the more casual game types; aram, urf, poro king and so on. Do I have to start playing ranked and normal summoners rift games again to get champion level upgrades?

And what happen to the the essence rework? Now Im back stacking blue essence again and have nothing to spend it on. Same goes with the daily quests, blue essence and sometimes when I level up I get champion shards(=blue essence), what's up with that? Atleast throw some orange essence in the daily so it feels worth spending money and time playing.
