Top Lane - Jungle. The game i've enjoyed for 6+ years in the gutter.
Top lane used to be the premier mechanical matchup. Counter picks existed but you could play around them. It wasn't a lane you could simply safely farm in. Duelists, high mechanical bruisers, tanks that had to play smart in order to survive the lane phase. This lane required skill. Solo kills would happen quite often and that was two evenly matched players. Now its the WORST lane in the game, with the WORST sense of reward. Back then if two people were evenly skilled they'd duke it out. Now its if both players are evenly skilled its whoever has the better jungler. The champs that thrive in top right now are the most boring mindless champs in the game. Dueling is almost unheard of, and when they are it often turns into okay you can beat me ill just run away. Tanks out duel, duelists. Mages and ranged champs are all of a sudden the best split pushers. Bully's get bullied by tanks. Adc lb feels better than bruisers as a damage source top laner. There is something insanely wrong here and I don't see it getting better anytime soon.
Solo queue - game balance is more around teamplay than ever before, yet solo queue the predominant queue system, is based around joining just yourself or with a friend. The time of you're better than the enemy team you can 1v5 them is over. Now you're better than the enemy team but I hope at least 2 of my teammates can step up and help is in. This game has become SO unrewarding its unreal.
