In no way is blitz a terrible champion, he is outclassed on most of his abilities with his hook being the only one that is really impressive. passive-grants a shield when you are low on life. good for early laning and late game if you build mana q-- is grab which has a good base stat on dmg and a very good ap ratio. this ability is supposed to stun the person caught till he reaches you stun does not go off most of the time. w--is the worst speed boost in the game. Gives you attack speed e--is a sub par knock up the animation takes too long. doubles you attack dmg on that one hit. r--High ap dmg, low cd, randomly strikes an enemy every 2-3 seconds. not a reliable cc, nothing very impressive besides the ap ratio stack. blitzcrank is an ap mage with an ad ability and attack speed booster. His bruiser build isn't that strong because he lacks the mobility. He has no actual support skill as he just attempts to catch people out of position. if you build ap he lacks the ability to survive. If you build tank he does nothing useful late game. It feels like he has lost his spot in league because you have naut and thresh who not only have a hook but decent defensive and offensive capabilities. Positive feedback, in essence blitz is only good in a kill lane and only if your team does well.

Actually, you're pretty much right. Blitzcrank is an incredibly old champion with an extremely outdated kit that seems excessively simplistic by today's standards. It still has traces of the Season 1 and Beta champion design, such as arbitrarily-high AP ratios on a champ that doesn't make sense to have them (like pre-rework Sion, Tristana, Master Yi, and even the current form of Tryndamere, although fortunately AP Tryn was nerfed out of viability). And frankly he's badly-outclassed in bot lane by other supports- literally 95% of his entire kit is tied to his hook, and if you can't land it (and it's one of the harder ones to land compared to Death Sentence or Dredge Line) he's all but useless. Plus his model is horribly outdated.

Blitzcrank is so fun ap though. If they do change his useless stuff like the attacks speed without touching his damages I'd be pretty happy. Although that attack speed is actually pretty useful when you didn't kill them with the initial burst damage. You just then auto them like 2 more times.

Edit: also he's not outclassed by the other supports. He actually has like the 3rd best winrate out of all the supports. If you land a hook on anyone, even the tank that's a lot of damage on a tank or a free kill on a squisshy.

Blitzcrank is a reverse assassin. He yanks you in, and his entire team kills you. He needs no damage because there is nothing you can do about that once you are in their whole team.

I honestly believe he needs a light rework and some fixes.

Fix his Q. It is so inconsistent. Half the time is latches onto something that is 2-3 character models away from where you aimed. It's so frustrating when you launch it perfectly at the enemy and for some reason it latches onto a minion that wasn't even in the same vicinity as to where you aimed it. As well as the fact that, although is says it in the ability description, it doesn't stun them. I can't count how many times I get someone and as I am pulling them, they jump away in the middle of the animation.
The W needs a rework. It is so useless because of the decay and slow afterwards. And why does it give him attack speed?
The pop-up is nice but the hit animation is painfully slow. It should scale somehow or have an extra effect. Or replace it with something new.
Ult is literally useless unless you build AP, but then you are so useless late game. The ult would be fine if they increase the silence duration. I've had numerous times where I ult and the enemy still uses their abilities regardless of the fact. I mean come one, 0.5s of silence. Fucking useless. The ult passive is also useless.

He is a unbelievably fun champ to play but his only use is picking up a few kills very early game. Other than that he is not viable for anything. His kit, as a whole, is super fucking weak.
