Why is norms match making broken??

Ive played some norms recently and ended up with people who cant even play the game. Ive been grinding League since Season 1 and the match making for norms has never been this god awful. I'm level 57 as of right now and checking the op.gg of some of my team mates are levels 15-20. I don't think mmr is an issue, i'm silver 2 so i really dont think mmr is the issue. Ive also played a smurf account (level 25) and played vs level 45 and 50s. Anyway, someone please tell me what going on. Thanks, Domingo

Which kind of normal gamemode are you playing? Draft or blind?

You have to realize that every mode has its own MMR........it doesnt matter if you are Silver 2. Your ranked MMR is seperate from your normal game MMR. When you are playing normals it is not uncommon to see gold players playing with and against bronze players because they are matched according to their normal game MMR.

As far as the players levels...all that tells you is how long they have been playing. Their level has nothing to do with MMR. A level 20 can have the same or near the same MMR as a level 45 player. You gain experience from every game which raises your level and you gain more when you win. Your level can never go down...but your MMR can when you lose.
