I just finished my 10 placement matches. It ended by 2 wins and 8 loses, i was surprised i didn't go to bronze after all and went directly to Silver (II). Is this because the lost games i was playing well and helped in game as possible? Last season i finished 5 wins 5 loses and went directly to Gold (V). And also around how many games i need to win to get to Gold (V) before this season ends? ( I really appreciate those who will answer the 2 questions :D )
Firstly, your MMR is only a soft-reset every season, not a hard-reset. All placement matches will be based off your MMR from last season, but as far as LP is concerned you start from nothing like everyone. Because you were Gold last year and did poorly in placements (sorry) you only went down a little.
Second question is really it entirely depends on you and how well you do. If you got to Gold last season, you can do it again.
10 games over .500 is the point at which gold 5 is usually reached for accounts that don't have a ridiculous number of games from having previously tanked mmr.
You'll need to play as many games as it takes to win 10 more than you lose.
