Ranked series problems.

I qualified for promotion series in ranked solo/duo q. And lost my first game in series and i lost my series in just one game. Is that even possible, like what is the problem, it clearly says 3 games, 0-1 out of 1 game isnt unsuccesful. Can someone clear it for me, cuz i got rly pissed off
