Why do you lose LP if you dodge Q?

This seems super counter intuitive. I don't think anyone likes being forced to be in a team comp that they don't like. For that matter why are there penalties at all? Its just annoying.

There used to be no penalty. IT'd take like three hours to get into a game. In gold/silver.

Because you're forfeiting the match and wasting everyone's time.

It is because you make everyone else wait, it's a punishment.

SaltyKracka6/28/2016, 9:27:29 PM3 votes

Because Riot doesn't want you doing that.

This is perhaps the most obvious thing ever.

Marshbouy6/28/2016, 9:28:48 PM3 votes

So you want people to dodge and waste other's time for no penalty?

Is this post serious? wheres the camera?

Why would people just be allowed to up and leave a champ selection just because they dont like how its going with no penalty?

Do you know how long it will take just to get a game started? You would need 10 people thinking the selections is going all their way or else one of them will just leave and put everyone else back in the que.

People in higher teirs like challenger would never get a game started....que times for them are already long as hell.

OK, maybe my original point was a bit extreme... However, it does seem pretty ridiculous that you lose the measure of how good you are without losing. Making a judgement call of what is going to work on a team is a sign of some sort of skill. If I act on the skill it some how reflects that I am less good??? It doesn't make sense.

Because you never know how the match will turn out. You can't win a match if you dodge. Yeah you lose LP if you end up losing, but it's better to take the chance and try to win so it's not a complete waste of time. Might not be fun, but it's what you have to do.

Well unless the teams are "perfectly balanced", someone would dodge on one second and the other, and the 9 other people would have to queue up again.
