champ select wait times

I am sorry Riot, i love the game and all but this new champ select has created a terrible game. i have been in q the whole time waiting while writing this post. sure we may get the spots but wtf, why so many confirmations to click. i dont need 35 seconds to tell my team what champ i want to play. this needs to be fixed. wait time is longer when it was long enough already and i have recieved a dodged penalty because i forgot to "lock in" my champ that i already accepted
