Server Down: Let's talk top jungle picks

Bull Green·6/27/2016, 2:10:18 AM·5 votes·2,270 views

Reksai, Gragas, Nidalee, Kindred, Olaf, Elise

There began to be a rise in jungle variety but in the recent patches these 6 began to take over. I get tired of seeing the same old champions in the jungle, especially in the LCS. I get that the pros try to only use the most OP and viable champions, but these champions aren't that fun to play. What champions can be viable and up to par with these 6? More tanks? Fighters? Assassins? You tell me.

I have really been enjoying AD taric in the jungle with item 1400 item 3056 item 3078 as my core build.

I'm actually pretty sure kha has seen more usage over kindred due to kinny getting decent nerfs to his/her q and not having the "power" that kha does in the early game now. As far as viability goes, zac definitely deserves a mention as he's not only one of the few jg characters who isn't reliant on buffs (allowing for adc's to easily take red and mid laner to easily take blue) but also one of the few tank jg's who can pose a decent offensive threat as well (as his base stats/ratios are a bit "b-a-n-a-anas" ).

I think Vi has been hella fun lately. She has such a good impact on lanes early. Love when i Have an assassin mid lane, like LB or something, and i can get that firstblood. Also love all the roots she can take into lane. Love VI. VIVIVI

I honestly don't understand why Skarner isn't played more. He has amazing cc and he's one of the best duelists currently, thanks to his crystals (just to name a few of his strengths).

Rek'sai and Gragas have always been strong Garages for his dmg/tank/sustain/cc kit and Rek'sai for the same Olaf just tends to do REALLY well with the juggernaut items (Titanic, Steraks, Deadmans, and Maw) and Nidalee and Elise are those higher skillcap junglers who have been good for a long time (Nid since her rework)

I think Jax is doing really well in the juggler right now because of his tendency to do really well building attack speed and damage items because his cult passive gives him a huge amount of those offensive stats back as resistances, just need some health to top it off. He also does innately well against those Olaf's and Kindred's

I also think Yi is really strong right now with the Bloodrazor>BORTK>Steraks>Deaths Dance>PD build. It gives him a ton of dueling potential and the % hp dmg he deals from BORTK and Bloodrazor are turned into hp from the Deaths Dance passive.

Shyvanna does decently with similar builds but suffers from lack of mobility or reliable gap closers, and cc heavy laners/junglers are too heavily played right now for her to do really well

Vi could also do really well right now from Bloodrazor seeing as how her passive gives even more attack speed, % max hp physical dmg, and armor shred for that % dmg. But not building AD on her hugely detriments her combat stats. She would only be viable with Bloodrazor if you were facing against an extremely tanky team that lacked damage. Warrior jg item is just too weak right now compared to the other items.

First off, what is fun to you isn't fun to someone else and visa versa. I find all of those champions to be very fun, especially olaf and gragas. I still wana see rengar again tho :P

MyName1s STUP1D6/27/2016, 2:34:39 AM1 votes

being a jgl main, i like rengar in a lot of situations especially if they are a squishy team. he can 1shot anyone thats not a tank mid/lategame with some crit. hes really fun to play, and can ult into their backline for teamfights mid/lategame and 1shot their carry which can in turn win you the fight and game
