Why was Stormrazor changed?

Just why? I don't see the reason in adding another item to it that isn't useful to build? Who built it the most? Crit users or non-crit users? Are they trying to force a stupid concept of an item for crit users or punish those who don't build crit? I just don't get why they would punish those who don't. You now have to waste money on extra items and build more crit to use it effectively, but why the fuck would someone build stormrazor who uses crit already? I think it's a darius/bruiser type item and found success on it, but what the fuck is riot balance team smokin? Why would they create a duskblade 2.0 to only punish those who would obviously use it? Like who's idea was it that crit users would use this fucking item when assassins who usually build damage, or bruisers, fare better? I'm a little livid and confused right now which is why this may not make sense, but who thought this item was a good idea?

They introduced this item as a Marksmen item by including it in the Marksmen patch, but lowkey they just want assassins to become even more powerful.

I mean, for fucks sake Domination is about to get a buff because apparently Riot is seeing it "underperform", even though literally every assassin player on the god damn planet is taking either Electrocute or Predator.

Fuck.

Or, you know, just accept that this item was clearly intended to be a marksmen item from the start?

Jesus, it really seems that some people on the boards think that marksmen shouldn't be allowed to use any item in the game ever. If there is still doubt that marksmen were the intended main users for this item, here is the text from the patch notes in which Stormrazor got added:

With Stormrazor, we're introducing an item for marksmen with longer pauses between attacks, whether they're kiting or just have long attack cooldowns (looking at you, Jhin)

So yeah, buffing it for crit users is fair since this item was supposed to be taken by them from the start.

What the fuck are you even talking about? The first live iteration of Stormrazor had the extra damage scaling with crit-chance anyway. This new change DECREASED the necessary amount of crit-chance to get the full extra damage.

It was their attempt at creating a fair form of crit but still retaining crit in the game.

Crit's a staple mechanic to games in general, a lot of games have that basic "chance to hit extra hard (usually doubled damage)" so it's a really easy mechanic for players to interpret and play with.

Stormrazor was a way to have crit, but not have it be competitive coin flipping
