Darius Heal Tweak Ideas
While I was watching a stonewall video he said something along the lines of Darius's heal makes no sense with his lore, I disagree. He is a tactical general who does not retreat and fights until the very bitter end. So a missing health heal seems up to par with that idea.
Lore arguments aside, lets take his heal in either "four(.five)" different directions Note: The damage CD, etc. remains the same, only the heal is tweaked.
#1. Darius heals 15% of his missing health upon successfully hitting a target with full stacks of hemorrhage (with decimate). This means he can do that "fight till the end" archetype mentioned earlier. HOWEVER, now Darius has to decide, do you want to spread your passive to as many targets as possible AND THEN try to heal off of as many targets you fully stacked, or do you want to use the Decimate to spread the passive but lose out on massive healing (just like ult, the passive must be stacked prior to hitting target with outer Q).
#2. Darius heals 5% of missing health. But just like #1, a special effect will occur if decimate lands correctly on a target with full Darius passive stacks. In this instance; If Darius hits one fully stacked target with decimate correctly, Darius heals for 10% of his missing health, but will heal for 20% if he hits two fully stacked targets. I think you can tell where I'm going with this. 30% on three, 40% on four, and a huge 50% on five. In this case, what we got is a extended teamfighting monster, but Darius will be hard pressed to suffice through small and not very lengthy conflicts.
#3. Darius Q gets the heal into a passive instead of an "active". Darius heals .5% / .8% / 1% / 2% / 5% of missing health per auto VS. targets with fully stacked hemorrhage. I think I set the numbers for this instance to low if you take into account Darius can't AA quick very well (outside of W). There isn't much else to say about this one. #3.5. Same as #3 EXCEPT, instead of the numbers running parallels to Decimates level. Darius heals for 6% of his missing health (from Q) for every 8% CDR for a maximum of 30% of Darius's missing health. Bear in mind, this is if we only have decimate heal off of one target, not more multiplying based on targets struck. as long as you got one of the enemy champion.
#4. Upon successful Q, Darius health 5% of his missing health per target struck, HOWEVER Along with the heal if you landed decimate correctly Base CD is reduced by 50% This way, you have to Fiora it and relentlessly keep landing your Q. Basically if you stack CDR (which isn't hard on Darius to begin with), Darius will heal more often, but with the current mana costs, screw up too often and you will run out of mana fast.
I thought rather deeply about how to go about truly "fixing" Darius's heal while still keeping to his lore. However, there wasn't any viable ways I could have the heal on anything else other than decimate, so outside of nerfing the everlacking life out of it in the forms of higher CD or mana costs, I think these might help with the currently, infinite feeling of Darius being op. Also this way people can stop QQ about it (even thought people like Fiora exists basically specifically made to fuck over juggernauts minus Mord).
