The Elo rating system is a method for calculating the relative skill levels of players in competitor-versus-competitor games such as chess. It is named after its creator Arpad Elo, a Hungarian-born American physics professor.

Ranked games in League of legends are meant to be taken seriously. Regardless of what anyone tells you, the ranked game system in this game was designed to be a test of skill, competitive play, and is 100% meant to be taken seriously. If you are looking for fun with friends; there is a reason we have normals, customs, and rotation games.

Please take this into consideration, and do not enter ranked games if:

  • You have ever gone 3/15 and said "Chill bro, it's just a game"
  • You play RANKED for "fun"
  • You are cognitively incompetent

What did you install league for?

Entertainment.

Are you ranking up for fun?

No.

Than you're doing it for a chore and it contridicts the purpose of a video game...

Not that I don't agree with the post people should take ranked more seriously, but technically speaking people still are allowed to have fun in any gamemode. They may try but if they fell that don't have to wet their pants over the loss.

I played ranked just to have fun, does that make me bad? Sometimes i lose cause i dont really care to much but its just a game

What other people do has no impact on you improving your own skill as a player. So, relax bro, it's only a game.
