Riot Games Could Improve Ranked Matches
After playing ranked matches again after some time, I've been able to reflect upon the situation for ranked games. I've been doing somewhat decently but my teammates play poorly, and I feel like Riot Games should actually reward/revoke League Points depending on how well you do, instead of winning or losing. What I mean is by having different reward calculations.
An example is: Much like how champion mastery points increases with your performance, LP gain/loss should be similar. Say a Blitzcrank went 1/2/33 but the team still lost by the 30 minute mark, by normal standards, that would be at least an S-, so LP loss should be reduced instead of 23-26 it should be a loss of 5-8.
I understand that one might argue that someone, like a Yasuo player, went and kill stole and just farmed without helping with objectives to achieve that rank. However, if their kill participation, dragon participation, baron participation, and turret taking participation is above a certain percent AND the player got the S rank but still lost, then that shouldn't reflect upon the individual, but the other team members.
I also feel like they should add a feature to vote kick in the lobby prior to the game beginning. If they don't add it as a regular feature, at least add it for rank. I see people get auto-filled and say they want to troll because they didn't get mid or top. Much like a surrender vote, someone can start a vote to kick a specific person and remake the game before it would begin. However, I know that some people like to randomly start kick votes, much like people in CS:GO and such. In order to address that, after the vote kick has been completed and 4/5 players voted to kick the person, it wouldn't be considered a loss, but rather a dodge.
So a successful vote kick would kick the person who was being voted upon, and then return all of the other players back to the queue. The player that was kicked would be removed from queue, lose 3 LP for the first vote kick and be put on a 5 minute wait penalty. A subsequent kick on the same day (within 24 hours) would lose 5 LP + a 15 minute penalty. If a third kick is successful on the same day, the player would lose 10 LP + a 30 minute penalty. More than 3 would remove them from ranked queue for 24 hours.
On another note, I understand that Riot wishes to reduce the wait times while the players are in queue, but I feel like ranked should be an exception. This is because you might be auto-filled into a position that you are not proficient at. Say an ADC gets auto-filled into jungle and then loses the game. In normal queue, this wouldn't be too bad as it's just a lose with no loss of LP or anything. However, in ranked you would lose 23-26 LP just because Riot introduced auto-fill. If you decide to dodge, you would lose 3 LP, suffer a 5 minute penalty. I know people have already been complaining about how "auto-fill is absolute garbage and Riot Games should just get rid of it!", but I think it's a great idea. Just not for ranked.
Also on a side note, why hasn't Riot introduced a more secure method of signing in yet? Simple things, like two-step verification or something. Even something as simple as an email along the lines of, "We've noticed that you're signing in from a new location, we've sent you an automated email to verify that it's you! You can add this device/location permanently." No need for a text or app or anything.
