I will have to say... There is a very small skill difference from silver to gold.
Considering that you are currently gold 5, there is even less of a difference between you and the silver 1 players you frequently play against and with.
Riot isn't expecting you to carry anyone, they are expecting you to cooperate with your team and work together to win.
then be gone
