First blood assist

Why don't i always get 200 gold from an assist on a first blood. Playing quite a lot of support i have this situation rather often, and it doesn't give the same amount of gold, why is that? Shouldn't it give half the amount of the actual kill, if you are the only assister? For example i have sometimes got like about 175 or 190 gold
