Riot, please make reports count a little more.

I've been an avid League of Legends player since about six months after release, and while I have seen a slight decline in the ... Less mentally grounded part of the community. It still seems like every other game there is someone yelling at someone else for something that, ultimately, won't change a thing. One of the best parts of League is trying out new things, tweaking your runes, using different summoner spells to find out what works best for you. I enjoy self-improvement, and I never like to settle on anything.

Which brings me to my point, these people, these angry, angry people, who seem to do nothing other than find things to be angry about, they're still here, all the time, and they ruin the experience for everyone who wants to have fun, and improve themselves. Now don't get me wrong, it's totally fine to be like "Hey (champion), have you considered possibly using (item/rune/spell) instead of (item/rune/spell)?" even to give reasons why it might be better to take them instead, but you be like "OMG VAYNE TP NUB NEED TO TAKE HEAL Y U NO FLAT AD RUNES INSTEAD OF AD OVER TIME" and to flat out BLAME people for losses, I mean, yeah, sometimes it's kind of obvious why you lose (see meme below), but does it really help to abuse these people? It never does. It seems like I report people all day long yet nothing changes, there's still the same, angry, hateful people in the next game, that, god forbid, if you break the meta, you'll be cursed at, abused, and ultimately made to feel like shit when you just wanted to have a fun game.

I get ranked, alright, I get tensions are high, people get angry, but the thing is, I NEVER take it out on anyone else because I know better, I know the second I start taking my anger out on someone else, things are going to go downhill, the end result is, whoever would have been the abused, would be so distracted by being abused, that they couldn't focus on micro-managing anything, which is the whole point of this game.

So please, I know a majority of us are sick of this, make your voice heard in this post, and get Riot to crack down on this, hell, start with a one day ban for each valid reported game, then move it up to two, then three, etc. make it cooldown, where if they go a week without raging, then the sentence drops a day. Sure they'll create new accounts, there will always be angry abusive people, but after a while, don't you think they'd get tired of losing their progress? League has millions of players, I'd say the angerholics are about 1/20th of the population. I know many have quit because of the stress caused by these people, wouldn't it be a good idea to make the reports count, just a little more? With Riot and champion tweaking, you move a stat up or down, just a little bit, then you sit back and see if you need to tweak it more in future patches based on the results. Isn't it about time you tweaked the report system?

Thanks for reading, I hope you guys can agree with your desire to see a better, more enjoyable LoL for everyone. If you've ever been harassed for doing something different, if you've ever been abused for "feeding", please, let Riot know to strengthen the value of reasonable reports.

Don't engage idiots in chat who cry about going out of meta. You can say one stern phrase of "Please just play. I am trying my hardest and we only have to play together for 20 minutes." and if they still act like brats, mute them.

There is nothing you can say, nothing you can type that will make crying idiots like this stop ruining the game. If you don't engage them, your other teammates will get fed up with the rager, not you, at which point you should encourage your teammates to mute the toxic idiot as well.

The worst thing you can do is try to justify yourself in chat - mid-game is not the point you should be having these conversations; you should be focusing on your game. It also gives the troll more ammo to argue over, so just mute and move on.
