Nami was the enchanter masterpiece - they knew they'd fail whenever trying to make a new enchanter. There's no way that one could ever match her awesomeness <3
I doubt this is gonna be popular on the boards, they absolutely despise enchanters because they can protect the ADC.
are half-enchanters, so there is that.
But really though,
is only champion in the whole class who doesn't need either a GU or a full VGU.
They might want to start there.
But the community hates Enchanters... So you dont really stand a chance. Enchanter supports are the main scapegoat to cover up how broken ADCs are...
I really though of Rakan as an enchanter always , he isn't a melee , he has both heals and shields in his kit , he has a good cc on his ult and w
Fresh air?

taric rework? rakan?
New enchanter has already been leaked. He is Xeraths servant who jumped infront of Xerath before the storn and accidently fused with 2 gay men in the process turning him into a 2000 year old magic girl.
Janna's E is so powerful that it can even shield Nami from criticism and take it on herself.
JK JK, but seriously, I may just be a little bit biased, but I think Nami's one of the most well designed champs in the game period. Not receiving any changes nearly since her inception, and nearly always hovering around a 50% winrate seems healthy enough for me.
well, bard is an echanter support, though an odd one. Ivern certainly also is an enchanter, but in the jungle. Rakan is basically an enchanter/tank hybrid.
The main issue is that enchanters are very cloesly linked to adc, so it makes sense to wait out the upcomeing marksmen changes befor haveing a new enchanter. Another issue is that most enchanters offer very little counterplay for their opponents, most of their defensive shit is instant and targeted, which paired with the point n click dps of their carries means you can't really outplay that combination, either you bruteforce them down or die. riot needs to figure out what to do with enchnters before releasing another one.
The reason you never see regular enchanter releases is because they are usually hard to balance. Nami is the only one they ever released that wasn't broken or extremely weak at any point in time. Sona, Lulu, Janna, and Bard have all been there. Bard especially was a problem because he was one of the champions with an LCS/Live split like Shen, where he was too good in LCS but nowhere near as good in live play (making nerfing him very questionable)
TFW when i build
not as a tank and more of a battle healer -_______--
The last shakeup they did for enchanters brought us athenes, redemption, and ardent. Not a new champ but new things for the class.
Many players have mentioned on this thread that Nami is just about the best-designed enchanter in the game, and to a large extent I agree. She is one of the very few enchanters I feel who really actively pushes allies to play better, whereas older designs often just act as extra health batteries (e.g. Soraka, Janna, Lulu, etc.). This I think should be the direction to set for enchanters, where instead of just hanging back at safe distances and spamming protection on allies, they actively participate and push their whole team to go for bolder plays.
I think part of the problem Riot has experienced with enchanters is that, despite Nami's success, Riot has shied away from the class because they're largely defensive, and as mentioned above often promote more passive play. By contrast, the more recent supports they've released, which they've dubbed "catchers", all stand out for their ability to set up kills by CCing targets and getting in the thick of fights. I don't really like this distinction, because I think enchanter-type supports should also have the power to set up kills, and there's often a lot of overlap between the two: Taric and Janna are both enchanters, for example, yet have hard CC capable of catching opponents). By contrast, enchanters are distinguished by their ability to heal, shield or otherwise buff allies, yet Bard, Morgana, Ivern and Rakan all have different ways of empowering or protecting their team.
Before Riot releases new enchanters, I think they first need to decide what they want the class to be, what they want them to do, and how they can populate it further in a manner that avoids the pitfalls of older members. Personally, I think one of the defining traits of enchanters is that they should be able to push their allies to make plays that would otherwise be impossible, whether it be through clutch, miraculous life-saving effects, or meaningful, fight-turning buffs. To pick an example from another game, Overwatch does this pretty well with champions like Ana, whose ult grants a huge temporary power boost to a player, or Mercy, who can resurrect allies who make suicidally, and even HotS has a whole bunch of supports that feel truly amazing to play, precisely because they have so many moments where they get to carry their team. These high moments are what Riot should aim for with enchanters, rather than the always-on, yet much weaker forms of utility they often currently provide. Therefore, in order to improve the class, it might help for Riot to start with squishing support abilities into having less uptime, but more impact, while also taking care to make their utility more interactive wherever they can.
I disagree.
So if you want fresh air as an Enchanter: you got served. If you want fresh air as a Support: you got served. If you want a champion exactly like Nami: you can play Nami herself.
