Generic rant about Ranked, Snowballing and this season in general.

Allright, with that out of the way, what the flying fuck is with League nowadays? I had taken a hiatus from Ranked the past season because the climb to Diamond was something else, so I fully knew that I was coming up somewhat rusty, but I wasn't ready for how snowbally League is nowadays, funnily enough, both in the game and the players.

1. This isnt' a new one, the damage is off the chart all over the game. Games are much more explosive, a lot of the games tend to be one-sided avalanches, which only are mitigated for the team in the lead making a chimp move and throwing the lead in favor of the other team, which leads me to the next point.

2. This whole "Snowball" mentality in the players. What the flying fuck. I remember my past grind in Ranked being something quite stressing, but this is a whole new level. I've read so many "open mid" in my games it isn't even funny anymore. Yes yes, I know your favorite high ELO streamer often opts to open mid in order to be done with the game because the enemy team has a lead that they can't match, but guess what? That doesn't apply to our games. High ELO players got there by learning how to both earn leads and not throw them, in our ELO we play like fucking apes, so the whole "Open mid" thing is more often than not griefing because you can't be assed anymore (and I will report you for it).

3. Matchmaking in Ranked. This one might be somewaht biased, but is something still wrong with Matchmaking? Maybe it's my own personal ELO hell in Gold 1 because there's an unhealthy mix or stressed-as-fuck tryhards and people who just can't be bothered to actually try, add that to the high damage all over the board and how snowbally the game is, and you get very painful games. I'm at the point I legit don't know how to climb back to even plat because if I go top, the enemy Jhin gets a massive lead and if I go support, our "Yasuo one trick pony" top goes 0/9 vs a top lane Shaco, which brings us to the bonus point.

Bonus Point) Fuck Yasuo mains, seriously. I was quite hyped for Yasuo's nerfs because maybe I wouldn't see him every game alongside Lee, but add that to the "Yasuo/Lee/Shaco conundrum" where the enemy ones are apparently challenger smurfs and the ones in your team are legit clowns. I really don't know what's going to happen to these already bad players. The other day was quite the enlightening day because I was happy Yasuo was banned, and when our Orianna was promptly shat on he said "I'm a Yasuo one trick pony, but he was banned", jesus fucking christ.
