Nerfs to Trailblazer, but no fixes to Poacher's Knife

Let us nerf Trailblazer item 3713 because it is such a popular item for champions who have trouble in the jungle normally. I do agree this nerf was needed, because, without it, Trailblazer would also always outshine Poacher's Knife item 3711 as well for being a better counter jungle item with the cool down reduction decrease as well. Thirty second cool down reduction versus a fifteen second reduction with a stun so you take less damage and probably will not need to smite any other enemy jungle camps or jungle camps in general while smite was on cool down. This nerf is significant for that reason, but this still does not make people want to buy Poacher's Knife item 3711 for counter jungle. Now they will just take one of the other two jungle items, Skirmisher's item 3715 or Stalker's item 3706, for better dueling purposes if the other jungler happens to walk in, because, why worry about being killed by another jungler while stealing their buff, if they are dead when they see you.

Now let us get to the point of this discussion, they need to balance the jungle items so that they will each have a chance to be picked. For this to happen, they need to buff Poacher's Knife item 3711. The buff I would like to suggest would be to increase the duration of buffs, fifty percent would be nice, stolen from enemy jungles, such as the big raptor's buff from 10 seconds to 15 seconds upon activation after spotting a ward.

Riot is of the opinion that Poacher's Knife isn't actually weak, it's just being perceived as weak right now. If that sounds stupid to you, you clearly have no idea what this community has done in the past. Perception is EVERYTHING to 99% of LoL's playerbase, and historically it has been way off the mark.

That tooltip change was the height of condescending. They were basically saying "this item is good, but you people are too stupid to realize it".

But hey, it now shows you as getting like +60 gold per camp despite that being the same amount any safer, less obvious counterjungler could get.

But guys that bonus 20 gold if you use smite in their jungle is so strong, you can get one potion every minute and a half with it!

It actually has an indirect buff in that stealing big jungle creeps is both worth more and dents more gold to the enemy with the changes to gold on machete and it's upgrades and jungle gold in general.

I like your idea, but I think Riot will move slowly on this item. Making the tweaks they did will give them a better idea as to where it stands, and while your logic seems sound, you may be underestimatin it due to a lack of exposure and use. I agree that a slight buff to buff duration may be an excellent way to add value if it is indeed still underwhelming.
