new champ select style is great, but it causes more problems than the old one
Honestly, I love the new champ select. It's visually and mechanically streamlined. That's awesome, good job.
On the other hand, it seems that it does at least 2 of 3 things at the same time, a majority of the time.
- Don't queue for support secondary unless you like support. Because that's all you're gonna get.
- You WILL sit through a couple of different rounds of champ select. Someone's going to forget to lock in something, or wait until the time is up to force a withdrawal, or quit just like the old one. I usually sit through at least 3 before I get into a game. And at least one of those will have me go through the entire select process, only for the last person not to lock in or someone quits.
It's fucking tedious to sit through that.
3.People taking other people's roles. This one isn't a common occurrence, but hey, it happens just like the old select anyway.
Those top two alone drive me insane. It's a constant battle of 'will i get the role i want' and 'will someone else ruin it for me' and I really, really hate waiting just to be denied. If I wanted to wait for 10 minutes I'd use the old Teambuilder select. Which I now prefer.
