Vlad's E gets thicker and easier to block... ?

I understand the change in the terms of counterplay in lane, so it isn't like before where he needed just to be close to you to hit you with E. I get that, but when you thicken his E and give it even less projectiles, you also hinder his waveclear. One of the things old Vlad had was awesome waveclear, the rework shat on that and 1 minion can block your whole E, and now it's even thicker with less projectiles. Every other mage can waveclear easily, and on top of that, they don't lose 8% max hp every time they use an ability. I can agree on counterplay aspects of his rework, but this waveclear problem still bugs me.
