Zyra; A Gameplay Update
This will be a pretty light post for the most part, and Zyra will remain as a very high damage utility mage with the sustain damage of her plants (so support and mid lane Zyra will both remain as a thing). What I will do is focus and emphasize on Zyra's zone and area control play style as a mage and add anti-mobility effects to her to help grant that feeling of Zyra snuffling and choking out her opponent as her plants rip them to pieces! Anti-mobility effects is pretty much needed to have an immobile and very vulnerable mage like Zyra to be relevant to current times, and it is a utility that allows her to get back to the power she once had without making her stronger against other immobile champions (Zyra is super strong right now, she just needs some help against certain infinite hopping and infinite dashing champions at the moment, and Zyra's theme of strangling her opponents to death make her a perfect candidate to add anti-mobility effects for).
Nothing is set in stone and this a foundation post, so feel free to give your feedback and ask away any questions and/or concerns you may have; and if you are unsure about something or you missed read or did not read something / read something incorrectly then talk about and things will more than likely become clear!
Basic Attack Range: 575 units Movement: 325 units per second
Rise of the Thorns (Passive): Zyra stores up a seed every 20(-0.5 per level) seconds [lowers with cooldown reduction] up to a maximum of 3 seeds stored up at a time.
Zyra's abilities plant a seed and grow it into a plant based on the ability that was used.
Upon death, Zyra turns into her original plant form after a lengthy delay to shoot out a giant thorn in the target direction to deal 100(+20 per level) true damage to every enemy struck by casting any of her currently available ability keys.
Deadly Bloom (Q): Cooldown: 7/6.5/6/5.5/5 seconds; Cost: 65/70/75/80/85 Mana; Range: 800 units Passive: Deadly Bloom spawns a Thorn Spitter for 10 seconds or until killed in the centre of the ability if a seed is available to deal 23(+6.5 per level)(+20%AP) magic damage per attack at 750 units range.
Active: Zyra sprouts thorns at the target location after a brief delay to deal 70/105/140/175/210(+65%AP) magic damage to struck enemies.
Suffocating Vines (W): Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12 seconds; Cost: 90 Mana; Range: 1000 units; AoE: 400 units Passive: Suffocating Vines spawns an Acid Spitter for 10 seconds or until killed in the centre of the ability if a seed is available to deal 23(+6.5 per level)(+20%AP) magic damage per attack at 500 units range plus apply a poison for 4 seconds dealing 2(+1 per level)(+5%AP) magic damage per second and shred 2(+1 per level) magic resistance.
Active: Zyra creates vines at the target location for 1.5 seconds that suffocates their victims within them silencing them and dealing 30/45/60/75/90(+25%AP) magic damage per half-second to enemies within the vines.
Grasping Roots (E): Cooldown: 12 seconds; Cost: 100 Mana; Distance: 1400/1550/1700/1850/2000 units; Missile Speed: 850 units per second Passive: Enemy champions rooted by Grasping Roots in any way spawn a Vine Lasher at that location for 10 seconds if a seed is available to deal 23(+6.5 per level)(+20%AP) magic damage per attack at 350 units range and slowing them down by 35% for 2 seconds.
Active: Zyra sends a surge of vines towards the mouse cursor that curve towards it as well with the vines remaining in place for 4 seconds. If the vines strike any enemies while they are still traveling then they deal 60/95/130/165/200(+50%AP) magic damage.
Enemies that get struck by these vines or move into them are rooted in place for 1/1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8 seconds and the vines stop dashes that attempt to go past them, regardless to whether they have been rooted by them already, the same enemy can only be rooted by these vines one time per cast.
Stranglethorns (R): Cooldown: 130/120/110 seconds; Cost: 100 Mana; Range: 700 units Zyra summons a monstrous thicket at the target location to deal 180/265/350(+70%AP) magic damage to struck enemies and after a 2 seconds delay knocking up enemies within for 1 second.
Plants within the thicket gain 50% increased attack speed.
