i got destroyed by a yasuo main in my other account. i blanked out. i didnt know what happend. its like what ever i do, he does something else more threatening. i try to move away from minions so he doesnt have too much to dash on, he just hard shoves the lane to take tower. i try to go up against him, he literally shreds through me like im nothing, i try to 2v1 him, he just has so much damage at all stages of the game he beats us. ik youre supposed to let him take the farm and not to fight him, but, that just doesnt help. hes strong at all points of the game and i just dont understadn why that is. what ever you do, you just get punished for it, wether it be playing safe or askin for gank or playing aggressive. Pls, can someone tell me how to go up against him, what to do early mid late, how to beat him, what champions can out duel him (probably no one), itemization. Please, literally tell me everything about him from first item to buy to what champions can outduel him late game. I will literally read a whole novel about beating yasuo if i have too. Thank you (sorry for bad english also) :,( [zombie-nunu-tears]

Dodge his Q, don't ult into his wall, respect his E mobility.

Ban him. No counterplay, broken champion.

I tried looking you up to give advice specific to what you play - but you have no match history mid lane (or anything in the past 2 months tbh...).

I see a bunch of Yorick, Nasus, and Warwick gameplay. They're all melee and should manhandle Yasuo no problem, so if you're complaining about Yasuo top I really don't see the problem. Yorick and Nasus can just farm and when he comes nearby auto-reset auto him to take a favorable trade. Nasus even has w to kneecap his attack speed (and move speed to get away). Yorick can harass with ghouls. Both should be super easy.

So, I'm going to assume you mean mid lane with a ranged champion. The idea is pretty simple:

  • have a strong level 1. Auto attack his shield ASAP to get rid of it, then proceed to auto attack him (and maybe land a Q on him) whenever he goes for CS, while getting your own cs. Make sure to hit level 2 first, and then zone him off the wave a little bit and take a strong trade as level 2 against level 1. Generally you should be able to get a item 2003 or a dose or two of item 2033 item 2031 before he hits level 2.
  • once he has level 2 (and can start dashing around) and up until level 6 let the wave reset and start pushing to you. CS with your ranged attacks, avoid tornados, and when he's dashing through the wave if you don't have a last hit to get just throw an auto at him to get his shield, then throw a spell at him when he's in the wave and his shield is down. Generally stay a bit behind your minions (and step farther back if he starts dashing through minions towards you, but hit an auto/spell as you move back) or a bit off to the side. He'll end up pushing the wave (keeps you safe from ganks and sets up your jungler) and you'll get a harass lead. Suggest only using your main harass ability - you want to keep your mana up.
  • Hopefully you'll get a gank pre-6 and he should be an easy kill (especially if the jungler comes in after he dashes through the wave towards you). Either way, when you do go for big trades with many spells - DON'T blow them all at once into his windwall. A good rule against Yasuo is to never mash your keyboard if windwall is off cooldown. That's his whole thing, JUST when you think you've got him and blow your whole load he just throws up windwall and now you have no cooldowns and no mana and he can do as he pleases. When he's dashing right at you and every urge you have is to throw your cc skillshot at him for free as he exits the dash right in your face? Do nothing, or throw an auto, or throw your weakest damage ability. Get his windwall out while keeping your 2 strongest abilities (including your cc) available, and punish him with them (especially if you throw your weakest ability and he thinks you burned more).
  • Once he hits 6, be careful not to stand too close to minions within range of his dash (so he can't use the dash-tornado combo for an easy hit) and still dodge tornadoes. Continue to not blow your whole load into his windwall, open his shield with an auto whenever safe to do so, and trade with your main harass spell. Farm and wait for ganks. If he tries to go in and uses windwall, if you don't blow your load on it, punish him and get kills.

Generally this is where I'd start the part where he doesn't come at you aggressively - but we're talking about Yasuo here. I don't think I've ever heard of a Yasuo that doesn't get bored and not blindly try to engage whenever he can so it feels unnecessary. Honestly can't think of what to do here, as Yasuo honestly can't lose lane if he doesn't try to win it (unless a bruiser/fighter/etc... is there - basically I mean if he's against a mage and is just farming and sitting back, you can't really kill him because he can windwall your engage for free... if he doesn't fall for baits to get his windwall, you can't really kill him).

Xerath

  • Laugh as your Q, W, and R ignore Windwall
  • Laugh as you poke out his shield
  • Laugh as you stand far enough away that even if he dashes through the minions you're out of range
  • Laugh as you auto attack plants for Mana

Tbh pick range and poke at him.

Also accepted that you lose by default level 1-3. After that’s is just a baiting game tbh. Bait out his wall and then poke at him.

Play Fizz, out trade started at level 3, stomp?

Against a bad yas you'll win because he'll literally take 3 tower shots trying to kill you then rage that your champ is broken

A good yas (i.e. can press buttons)? May as well afk in base, you ever get in his tornado range past 6 and you'll die.

Or "just cc him and 1v5" cause its not like he has hypermobility and can ult the whole team (while his team is still wailing on you).

If you're dead set on laning against him, go a melee champ with hard cc (such as renekton) or massive damage and stack health/damage since his armor pen and conqueror will make armor 90% useless.
