Fiddlesticks' Drain

So...ever since Elise was released, I have always found a weird thing when going against an enemy Fiddlesticks . What happens is when I use Repel (the go up in the air thing), when Fiddlesticks is draining me, it doesn't break the effect or anything...letting him do full drain damage, healthgain for the entirety of my Repel.

Has anyone else had issues like this? Is it meant to be this way? Granted, I understand for balances sake that I can repel out of a Fizz ult, Karthus ult, etc... I'm just not sure since it is a targetable ability that the rules and developers wanted it to be that way.

Rappel. Repel means to push things away or disuade them from approaching. Rappel is to use a rope to ascend or (more frequently) descend a sheer face.

Rappel doesn't affect damage over time spells on Elise, which is what Fiddlesticks Drain is coded as even though he is channeling it. You would have a similar result if you tried to repel while Malzahar E, Swain Q or E, Ignite, or Darius's passive was on you.
