My take on the game's five major problems botlane, currently.

  • MATCHMAKING

I don't care if you leave the "normal" and "ranked" matchmaking as busted as it is, but can you at the very least please have promos use your current MMR/division and not the MMR/division the game assumes you belong, to match you with and against people? It'd help, a lot, with alleviating the frustration surrounding promotional matches - which, by the way, isn't a meme.

If you want to go a step further, can you do me a really big favor and possibly fix the matchmaking overall, and only allow people within +/-150 MMR of eachother to be matched against one-another, even to the point of making sure every single player has a counterpart equal on the enemy team in terms of their MMR? It'd do so well at alleviating the snowballing - which is mainly a problem when people know how to abuse their leads, which happens often in higher elos. Hint. Hint. Mother####er.


  • JUNGLERS

Currently, if your jungler refuses to camp Botlane and theirs camps you and sets up picnic, there's less-than-no counter-play to it; you either have to keep pinging your jungler hoping he notices the [three/four/five] people in your two-person lane, or you have to just accept having your tower destroyed and putting them ahead. 3v2 isn't an option unless you're Gosu or Faker incarnate, and even then it's kinda' difficult if your ADC likes 3v2.

Decrease spawn timers for jungle camps and - this may sound insane - remove the bonus EXP from the jungle items and make them worthwhile buys for jungle sustain, in their own right and not just a free "I'm Lv2 before you get to lane, enjoy!" item that's otherwise really static and not too worthwhile.


  • JANNA

Janna's a walking heal-and-shield battery that can heal for an upwards of 2k to several people at once with her ult while applying all the 'neat' effects from Ardent while at it, and whom has a shield that can reach themilestone of around 1k shield for 5s while also amplifying her ADC's AD/damage output and applying Ardent for a massive damage multiplier and safety, just for pressing E.

People may say she's balanced, sure - she can be killed, but that isn't the problem. The problem is how easy she is to use, functionally, and how much power she gives to people who use her (and, also, she's used in Plat+ to great effect, so it's not like she's a pubstomper like people want to believe) for that incredibly little effort. Two great past suggestions were to make her shield AD scale on the shield's current health, and to fix her tornado hitbox.


  • BRAND

The polar opposite of Janna, he has flat 4%-HP damage that stacks three times for a grand total of 12% (8% including MR) over 4s, every 4s or so. Similarly, while he may be countered by jungle help (unreliable at best) you should never, and I mean never absolutely need two people to take care of one person, unless that person is so much above them in skill and not because they picked Brand.

I'm more or less ignoring his R and E because in theory, they're both as balanced as the rest of his kit... but the rest of his kit is broken, so it's a moot point. Next to Janna, he makes Bot incredibly static and boring because, unless either of the two are banned, you're guaranteed to be in for a bad time... and since you really can't ban them all because you have to choose which specific cancer you don't fight, it leads to some agency problems.
