Tryndamere (Help Wanted)
First off, I would like to point out two key things:
- Yes, I did recently lose a game to a Tryndamere. But, no, I am not using just that game as my premise for throwing this thread up. It just happens to be the only game I can vividly remember, given how recent the game was.
- No, I do not think Tryndamere is OP like most people on the Boards would try to lead you to believe. I just have a hard time against him, and always have.
So, moving right along, I need help. Like, serious help with Tryndamere match-ups. What champs can stand against him? What items should I prioritize? What in-game tactic should I be utilizing to halt his snowball if it has started? What in-game tactic should I be utilizing if he isn't snowballing, so that I can make sure he never does?
Things I have tried in past games:
(A) Start
, and rush
, then
and then whatever my core item is based on the champ I am using at the time
(B) Start
and rush
then core item, then
/
[not necessarily in this order]
(C) Start
and rush core item, then
[sometimes even
if I'm really nervous]
Obviously since I'm posting this thread, none of this has worked. Whenever I face a Tryn, they'll start by shoving the wave to me, then popping me under tower and spinning away. (Sometimes not even proccing a single tower shot. Other times, we'll brawl it out, and he'll escape by the skin of his teeth, heal up with his Q and then come back to brawl it out while I'm now weaker in HP. If I leave him alone in lane to help others, he gets my tower, as I'm not there to defend it. If I stay top lane to defend, he just kills me and gets the tower anyway. Not to mention what happens after laning phase is over. He just shoves out a side lane, backs and then shifts to the other side lane. If my team isn't doing amazingly well in their lanes, it's hard for me to keep track of helping them AND holding off Tryndamere at the same time.
The only time(s) I have ever won a game against a Tryndamere is when the rest of my team was snowballing out of control. So much so, that I was able to use the fact that the Tryndamere never wanted to group with their losing team(s), to my advantage and basically informing my team that, since they were doing well and didn't really need me, I'd keep Tryn busy (in case he did choose to go help).
But, nevertheless, this champion frustrates me to no end and I'd really appreciate some tips for playing against him.
