Help me find my main!

After months of juggling champions I've realized: I'm bad. I have some good games, but in general i'm not a good player.

I've been trying to find a Lane/Champion that suits me but it's like, whenever i find a champion i like i just end up having a few alright games and then end up sucking at it. I want a champion that's easy but still strong.. I don't really care which lane at this point.

I've tried: Annie Garen Gnar Blitzcrank Amumu Darius Heimerdinger Ezreal Lux TwistedFate Vi Nocturne Morgana Kennen JarvanIV Jax Pantheon Veigar Anivia Velkoz

I've had good games with Annie but if i'm up against like a good Zed, Yasuo, Orianna or Taliyah etc. I just lose. I get outplayed very quickly by better players so i kinda stopped playing her. Then i've tried jungle (Vi JarvanIV Nocturne JaxPantheon) but my map awareness isn't that great and i feel like an All in champion isn't my style as i really don't like to be the main shotcaller. I'd much rather just be someone who CAN do a ton of damage but isn't the main engage. I HATE BEING THE ONLY ENGAGE!

So taking all this in i tried Lux as she seemed perfect but eh.. yea.. let's not talk about that. (let's just say we don't talk anymore)

So now i'm lost. I'd hate to resort to playing support as i do really like to fight, mostly in Mid as i feel kinda lost in toplane (even if i win lane i'm pretty unsure what to do).

Maybe i should just start playing Veigar again although i hate the fact i have to rely on building AP with my Q. Because if i don't do that i'm basiclly screwed.

Thanks for all the help guys, I appericiate it.

What i would suggest is that you retry those champions that you liked and keep playing them, even if you do poorly. There is a good chance you will get better. When i first started playing League, i just went through the roster, found champs i liked and played them. At first i was terrible, but i gradually got better. My main champs are Vel'koz and Aurelion Sol. If you want a high damage mid lane champ, those two are good. The down side is that if theres something like a good zed or ahri you will need to play very safe and farm with your Q as velkoz. Oh, and avoid fizz at all times.

Well hypercarry adc fits this description the most, as main shotcallers are junglers or supports, however in soloQ anybody can shotcall or follow. Also if you don't like early all ins and prefer to stay safe, hypercarry is your choice they need to farm up and deal tons of damage in mid/late game simply following the engages (teamfighting is more complicated than I describe, but you can find it in other sources). What you need to be ready for though is to: be target #1 ; not rely on team in terms of supporting you; deal with support you get ; learn trades, even if you don't like all in, as enemy Alistar or Leona dgaf that you don't like all-ins; play smart (if you want to play stupid or not think-- adc and mid mages are not for you); deal with botlane duo. Also if you find this option attractive make sure to ask support to avoid all-ins and pick sustaining champion, that can help you stay alive during lane phase. Champions fitting this category: Jinx, Kog'maw, Vayne, Caitlyn, Twitch. Probbly Cait is the best, as she is strong during all game phase (early, mid, late) The only problem: adc is not easy to play, you need to position yourself safe enough not to get oneshot, close enough to deal damage. Increase your damage output ,as you are the main source of damage in team.

As for mid: try Oriana or Kayle her farming is good, she is pretty safe to play, she deals decent damage. (these characteristics fit Lux as well btw...) As for jungler: try Master Yi, super easy champ to play deals TONS of damage in late as long as you farm effectively and help your lanes enough not to have them feed.

But what I can notice from your text-- you give up too easy, you found Lux perfect but eh you don't want to talk about it... You want to deal TONS of damage and to play bad and avoid all-ins.. it doesn't work like this, my friend. Champions who deal tons of damage get tons of enemy attention and require smart plays.

I recently started playing Kayn, he's not too hard and actually really fun, especially shadow assassin.
