needlessly large rod

Does anyone else feel like the adjustments on the Needlessly Large Roditem 1058 are clunky and slightly unsatisfying?

When I go pick up the big stick, it felt great, nice power spike to keep you tied over until you finish the next big thing, now its just .... awkward

working on that deathcapitem 3089 became very clunky because it requires 3 slots unless you can afford the last piece and the combine cost together. I don't mind the total cost change at all. it just feels worse to have to speed an extra 85 gold AND item slot to get the same effect as having a needlessly large and blasting wand by having an extra amp tome in the mix

I personally want the old stick back

My suggestion was to revert the cost, but have Amp Tome build into it. No one agreed.

its easier for people that are behind then for people that are ahead just like this entire game design is to help people that are behind in the game, in season 3 games were like 20-30 mins easliy, now games are like fucking 40-50 mins long because they reduce the gold of first blood towers dragon doesnt give gold anymore.

No -Power spikes come quicker -Easier to get constant upgrades -Easier to keep up with a more fed opponent

There are good points here, the same argument could be made at item 1038 split it, make it 40 and cost 1300 and couple it with a item 1036 for its recipes.

It seems a bit illogical to keep it consolidated on the one side, and split apart on the other. AD has BF sword as the item that people identify as the really big base AD item, needlessly large WAS its AP counterpart but has now been split

And yes I know AP does more than just damage but in (fewer) cases AD does other stuff too: Such as Riven's shield

Pshh. The Adjustments are amazing, I love not having to save up 1600 anymore. It makes building so much easier.

I used to look at people crazy when they rushed Needlessly Large Rod. Getting the other component of Death Cap never seemed worth it either.

Now that it's at a lower price the power spike you get is nice for the price, and keeps you consistently in lane to farm and trade. It's also not out of your reach anymore if you fall behind or get zoned. You can still get it when you go back. 1600 was just too expensive for that one item.
