How is Orianna still untouched?

Orianna has been a staple in both solo queue and competitive play for an incredibly long time. No matter how much the meta shifts, Orianna always manages to stay untouched and relevant. Despite this, she has WAY too much going for her. She has low mana costs, spammable spells that are easy to manage the mana on, a self-speed up and enemy slow, constant empowered autos, and a self shield that scales with her AP, which she naturally builds anyways. She can sustain herself with her E and doesn't even have to use spells to hurt you because of her passive. Even if she did use spells, her Q range to move The Ball is about as long as, if not longer than, most spells or auto attacks. Of course she has her weaknesses, but those weaknesses are not crippling enough to balance out how powerful she is as a solo laner and as a teamfighter. None of her abilities or strengths are overpowered in and of themselves, it's the combination of them that makes Orianna too powerful. If she's a strong teamfighter, she can't be a strong solo laner. That isn't how balance works. If she's powerful late game, she can't be powerful early game. Just the presence of The Ball is enough to stave off most laners from being able to farm, since she can just harrass with her Q, W, and autos and E herself to give a shield and armor/mr. Some possible fixes could be:

-Reduce her Q range -Increase Q mana cost early -Remove the slow from her W -Remove the armor/mr buff from her E -Lower her passive auto damage or change the passive all together

A champion that is always that consistent should always require being looked at. Every champion needs to fit a certain role, and being able to be picked into every composition regardless of rank shouldn't be considered fair. Orianna has far too much going for her and needs some changes before she is fully in line with the other mages in the game.

I am ok with this. I've always thought she has too much damage for the utility and safety she has. Somethings gotta give

She's consistent but does not excel at anything. Her shield is inferior to most shields and requires her to move her ball, her entire kit is designated around a focal point which can easily be tracked. She has about no mobility, and very little tankiness since you max shield last. As such, her close-mid range mage capabilities put in her harms way. Because her entire kit revolves around her ball, she's very easy to outplay with mobility. Her ult is powerful, but extremely telegraphed. While she has a lot of damage and zoning in her kit, she has no way to deal with multiple targets, unless those targets stack which is their fault. This makes her natural pushing power punishable by jungle attention that will get her killed very quickly. And while she sees consistent performance in pro play, she is neither abused nor pick/ban. She's simply a well rounded champion that hasn't ever been a bad pick. Balance doesn't mean you have to have every champion be bad and good at some point. It means you need to fix champions that are overpowered and underpowered, and Orianna is not even close to being considered overpowered. She's a solid pick due to team wide utility, but does not force a ban.

Ori's a support mid lane mage.

She brings a ton of utility, but in turn brings noticeably less damage than her peers. Her utility is also, well, heavily skill reliant / counter acts itself. Let me explain.

Lux can throw a shield on multiple team mates while AoE slowing the enemy team, and also rooting two enemies before blowing them away with her ulti.

Ori cannot do this. She can shield one teammate** or** she can harm the enemy team. She can cut someone's approach off in the jungle or she can ulti multiple enemies in the team fight. Everything which Ori does comes with a trade off, she cannot do it all at once or in rapid succession. Essentially her inability to be on both offense and defense at the same time - like so many champs can - is a heavily limiting factor.

Ori is also incredibly vulnerable when closed on / caught without the ball attached at her hip - which is going to be most of the time that she's engaged in fights.

Well, Ori's early dmg is pretty low. Unless she manages to get fed, I don't see how problematic she is compared to other snowballing mid champions such as Leblanc, Kassadin or Yasuo.

Sure she'll zone you with her Q and that's mainly because you fed her.

On top of that, every spell she does revolve around her ball. Juste be smart and time well your attacks.

Just because you lost your last at game to ori doesn't mean she needs nerfs.

Yet another one of these worthless salty shitpost.

"Hurr Durr I'm not biased!"

Really? Sure is wierd how you waited till the exact moment you got crushed by one to demand nerfs for them right? Funny how that works

WTF? Orianna is a consistent champion but is no way near OP. Just because you lost or had a bad game against her doesn't mean she needs nerfs.

Riot I'm sure sees that the same way because they haven't touched her and they don't need to anyway.

I've touched her a lot though

Only true issue is her cool downs.
