It is perfectly acceptable to Judge the current balance state of Poppy. It's been long enough.

_According to Champion.gg , 4,271,980 champions have been analyzed for the patch 5.24. There have been a ton of games played, and a lot of people have been trying out the updated Poppy. IT is perfectly acceptable to use data and statistics to come up with opinions on where people feel the current balance of Poppy is at right now. We can't wait forever. The game changes fast enough as it is, and we can't wait after more and more patches because more and more things will change.

It's not only FINE to use data from websites that track it to come up with your educated opinion for Poppy's current placement, but it's absolutely neccsesary. Poppy being exposed for almost a month on the live servers is PLENTY of time. And just because you might have had a good game on Poppy doesn't mean that she's fine. It means the people you up against made too many mistakes too often, or you got carried, or you were just better than the enemy and no mater what champion and role you were playing in you would of won no matter what._

That being said, Poppy is pretty awful right now. Sitting at or below 45% winrate on most websites I can pull data from. And this isn't some sort of champion that is hard to master, where Lee Sin and Azir see a dramatic shift in gameplay effectiveness based upon how skilled the player is. Poppy does simple things. And she does them predictably. Her winrate has went down dramatically, more than it probably should have considering not much as changed. It's easy to see why. Poppy can't do much protecting and she's not that tanky, and has to play a mini-game with her passive that often times puts her at a severe disadvantage, where trying to collect the shield will involve you taking more damage than if you'd just NOT get the shield. Or put you out of range for your abilities. It's quite awful really.

What I find really interesting is that they left Poppy's Heroic Charge as it is, but it's far less effective than Vaynes Condemn. Before the changes it's easy to see why because she had damage amps, invulnerability, and she had huge chasing potential with her speed boost that lasted far longer than the 2.5 seconds she gets now. Vaynes Condemn has a range of 550 and pushes people back to 470 range. She also can tumble to change the orientetation of herself quickly so she can get the condemn in the proper location. And she also has a good movement speed boost on her passive to help her in this. Poppy on the other hand has a Heroic Charge range of 525, and carry's people an additional 300 range ontop of that. It appears to me that no matter which range I use Poppy's Charge (Whether im 5 range away or 525 range away) I'm always going to carry people only 300 range. That's really bad. Sure the CD is lower, but I'd trade the carry distance that vayne has for the extra CD (And stun duration too). And I don't think it warrants a CD nerf just to get a buff on this ability.

Poppy's Passive to Steadfast Presence is absolute garbage. So I have I have 200 armor and 200 magic resistance I'm only going to get 24 bonus resistance and only 48 bonus resistances when I get below 40% hp? That's complete crap. How do I Go from poppy's old Valiant Fighter to a bunch of crappy resistances that get penetrated through anyway? SION is tankier than this. And Poppy doesn't have much synergy with the items at her disposal either. She has the most Un-Synergistic kit I've seen in a champion. It's a smorgasbord of abilities that don't make sense together. Steadfast Presence has a Speedboost WHY? I don't want to use Steadfast Presence just to move faster. I need to NOT use that ability unless someone is going to dive. But it's the only form of chase/positioning poppy has to catch up to people to Frisbee them in the back of the skull and slow them down a wee bit. And then the Frisbee makes you tougher if you pick it up, which happens to be landing either way too close to the opponenent so they're gonna smash it before you can get it, or its behind or to the side of you where getting it would either put you in harms way to take more damage than you otherwise would, or put you out of range of using your charge. It's bad. Real bad.

Q is alright. It's buggy as shit though. Sometimes it randomly casts in a direction that I did not tell it to. Especially right after a flash or a heroic charge. Her Ultimate is what it is I guess. It's just Steadfast Presence, her Passive, and her Charge that are all blatently bad, and is the prime reason why Poppy is nearly dead last in Winrates and statistics in almost every single area.

HERES HOW TO MAKE POPPY NOT TERRIBLE.

Steadfast Presence PASSIVE: Poppy's total armor and magic resistance are increased by .5% for evey 1% of her missing health. Active: Poppy gains bonus movement speed for 2.5 seconds and generates a barrier around her for the duration, causing all enemies who dash within to be knocked back (Suspension, so Yasuo CAN ult off it, right now its specifically worded that he can't, another bit about how un-synergestic poppy really is) and dealt magic damage. This CAN affect the same champion multiple times. _ Iron Ambassador_ INNATE: Poppy periodically throws her buckler on her next basic attack, to then fall near her target, where it remains for up to 4 seconds. If the buckler kills its target or hits a champion in the back, it bounces back to Poppy automatically. Enemies can step on the buckler to destroy it. The buckler grants bonus range and 20 - 190 (based on level) bonus magic damage. When Poppy picks up the buckler, she Iron Ambassador Shielded shields herself for 15% maximum health for 4 / 5 / 6 seconds and gains a speedboost for 2 / 3 / 4 seconds.

These are the changes Poppy needs. I've had well over 100 Poppy games on the live sevrers as a jungler. She's not great or even remotely good. She needs large buffs to make her useful in the grand scheme of things. She has a kit that lacks synergy.

You do realize that poppy had a MASSIVE surge in playrate and at the same time a MASSIVE drop in winrate. You know why? Because this patch, 59.5% of all games on poppy were between the 1st and 5th poppy game for that player. What this means is that all of a sudden, tons of people unfamiliar with her kit and not sure of the absolute best way to utilize it are trying her. As a general rule, spikes in playrate bring with them drops in winrate, especially on champ launch / rework. So well, yes, there are many poppy games recorded, the numbers take much longer to settle.

The passive on her W is meant to be a small provision, not the entire thing.

The ability is meant to be a safeguard, if not a high-skillcap safeguard, against dashing and pull-to's.

Her Q works fine, that might just be an issue with your keybindings.

I'm going to hold off just because, simply from watching Poppy players, it's clear they have no idea what they're doing. They all build different things, play her different ways, and even play her in different positions. Literally no one knows how to play this champ right now; give it time.

Yes, because high skill cap champions with low win rates always need to be buffed out the ass. You'd think with the way that y'all go on about Lee Sin that you'd hold off on hyperbuffing the hypertank, but because she counters Lee, it's ok for her to be buffed to the point where her Q one shots ADCs while building full tank.

"Wahhhh, I can't play a hard to master champion! Riot, kiss my fragile ego and make it all better!" -- basically what I read there.

I've gotten a penta kill with minimal help from my team, often have a 6:1 or higher KDA, and absolutely carry games with new Poppy, and I play her everywhere but ADC. She's not weak in the slightest, she just can't be played by any moron that picks her up, kind of like Azir.

But please, go on about how weak she is. Maybe she'll be buffed and I can never lose a game again. ^^

Poppy is ridiculously broken in those who know what they are doing (Diamond 1+)
