Did Riot change the zoom in-game?

I haven't really played much LoL except ARAM since S3 or something.

I always used to play unlocked and moved my mouse to move the screen, while I was away I changed my mouse DPI from like 2200 to 400 and got used to that except in LoL, it feels so uncomfortable now and the game feels so much more zoomed in than when i used to play that im usually holding space while playing (i know i can lock it without holding if i want).

So did they change the zoom since I played? or is it just that ive been away for so long i need to get used to it again?
