a rant that is not about riot for a change (it is now!)

Just to clear things up, I wanna say that I only play the game casually. Also, I'm a Lux mid lane main.

So, the last "couple" games I saw that everyone in casual matchmaking likes to make mid a double-lane, instead of bot. Is this some sort of a new meta? What is going on? Can anyone explain? I'm really confused.

Btw, Riot has no sense for balance. It's like if they were from an alternate reality where the word "balance" means nothing. Like really, I just played a game where an enemy Kayn was literally one-shoting my entire team. Even Garen! My nerves are ground to dust.

Oh yea, remember what I said about Riot and balance? Just read the Patch notes, didn't understand a thing, though even I can tell that everything is not OK.
