What is Riots intent for Co-Op and Custom matches?

I have some issues with how these games are played, but it seems that our Community has differing thoughts as to the intent of these practice arenas. I guess we cannot fully agree on what takes place here or there until we understand what the intent of these are from Riot.

I can share my opinions, but that is all they are - opinions. In order to properly discuss how to address the issues I see in these games without meeting resistance form the Community, Riot would need to explain their intent for these fights. By intent, it is meant the suggested use, not a restricted use (God forbid I open THAT can of worms!)

For my viewpoint, I see the Co-OP games being the proper place for training. The level of the opponents can be varied between beginner and intermediate, which allows for most new players skill levels. The intent, as I see it, is for players to decide which of the skill levels, but then play a 5 v 5 match with real human teammates on your side. This most closely simulates a real PvP game, except for lack of opposing junglers.

I see the custom games for either the REAL new players who cannot even beat the beginner bots, thus need to understand the mechanics of the game itself. Also, this can be used as a trial ground for practiced players because they can set it up to be 1 versus 5, if they so choose. A lot of flexibility, which is good.

That is how I generally see those two battle modes. From my viewpoint, the Co-Op games have the biggest issues, but I will not place them here. First things first is we need to understand why Riot built them.

Please Riot, explain your intent before we continue to take issue with what you built?
