My thoughts on vayne

So I agree that Vayne needs some love riot now, she's probably one of the worse bot lane marksman in the game atm. But let us look at some reasons why

-EVERYTHING bullies her in lane phase -MANY things can one shot her in modern meta -She takes a very long time to scale -People do her job just as good as she does now

Explanation if you chose to hear them, skip to bottom if you want my solution

A-With her laughably small range, just about every adc in the game is capable of bullying her, and supports included. With her low early game damage, she is not to great at trading either, especially beause she wants long term fights so she can proc her 3 hit passive on you. For Vayne to survive lane phase she needs one of three things going for her.

-To greatly surpass her opponent in skill she can win trades by being a smarter player -To have a talented support who understands vaynes weakneses and to act accordingly. -Assistance from the jungler To be honest imo Vayne needs 2 out of 3 of these things to survive lane phase, and not just 1, for if you only have 1 of these things going for you as a vayne player, life becomes hell. We all had those moments where we played vayne and were personally playing fine but our support just suicides. Those moments suck.

B Not to much to say here, as more and more champions are created the list of things that can kill vayne also increase, she is a champion who does not like change and greatly wishes we could take a time machine back to season 3. Not much we can do here besides considering a small rework, just it's how it is. (no im not suggesting a rework)

C She takes a very long time to scale, the best vayne builds are either on hit builds or Crit builds. Both these builds are very expensive and take a long time to scale up, Plus from the fact Vayne is horrible in the early game and will most likely not be getting any early game kills, she's going to take even longer to get those items for she is relying purely on her minion farm. Vayne unless the enemy is a idiot typically doesn't get her first kill until 16 minutes. She's not going to be a lucian and duel you level 3 and get a kill, that just shouldn't be happening and if it does the player who died to vayne should feel bad.

D-

So Vaynes identity was the "queen of late game adcs" however as the game gets older, new champions are released who also do this job. The champions I listed are every bit as powerful as vayne is. We no longer live in a era of

"once we hit late game we auto win" We have answers for that stratagy now, we have lots of crowd control, have more assasins, to put it simple, this stratagy isn't a good one to invest in, simple because we have answers for it now. So if Vaynes main identity is "i'm a late game carry" but we have other champions who do her job just as good as she does, the question becomes, why pick vayne?

The answer use to be "well she's the best champion at killing tanks" but with items like being released, EVERY CHAMPION becomes great at killing tanks a jinx with Will absolutely DESTROY tanks (i left the zeals on zeal for upgrades can always change since we have 4 zeal items currently)

What I believe the solution could be?

Perhaps it's simple, perhaps riot is over thinking it, perhaps the solution to vayne, is simple giving her more range. She suffers greatly from the fact everyone out ranges her, and it makes her lane phase hell. HER DPS is completely fine, i never hear anyone complaining about vaynes dps, i hear people complaining about her wave clear, but never dps. So perhaps all vayne needs is SIMPLY more range. So would buffing vaynes range, and nothing else, be a fair thing to give her? For at this point I think yes. She will still have all the weakness, you could still bully her, just now her lane phase becomes just a little bit less hellish for her.
