I have returned to blind pick.

I just want to play my glorious middle mages. I don't enjoy the twitchy ADC role. I don't get the same giddiness from roaming and ganking. I don't want to be the first in last out tanker. I don't mind playing a support mage, but most of the time I want to carry.

The new champ select drives me to play roles I don't really like. I like playing Heimer, and Malzahar, and Veigar, Fiddlesticks, Lux, etc(Yes, I can play Lux support, but it just isn't the same). I like mage gameplay, and because of how strongly Rito has codified the meta into this game, I can only really succeed at a Mage in the middle lane. I am obviously not alone, because of the popularity of the middle lane. Anything I choose as Secondary, I end up being forced to play. I get mid about 20% of the time. So I have returned to Blind Pick, where as long as I'm the fastest typer, I can play the game the way I want to.

I don't mind waiting for longer queues. I am sorry if it forces others to wait longer, too. But in the end, we will all have a better game experience if everyone can play at the roles they enjoy and succeed at more. No one wins when I play Bot, or Top, or Jungle - because I don't enjoy it, and I am terrible at it. I have played enough to know what I am good at, I have tried to get good at every role - I have put my time in, and the experiment is over.
