My take on surrendering in LoL

I wrote this as a response to someone else in another thread, but it's important, and I thought it deserved its own post.

Giving up... ever been on that team who's way ahead then throws it? Maddening, isn't it. When you're losing give your opponents the opportunity to throw. Play super defensively... wait for them to make a mistake. Get the Ace, get the Baron, push and win.

Here's an example where I was Leona and this happened. At least two surrender votes were called, and failed. Had anyone on our team given up, we would have lost for sure. That these players called surrender votes and still carried on when they failed showed they were good sports.
