I do not like putting points into Vampirism or Natural Talent ...
... but feel like I'm forced to do so if I want to advance further in the Ferocity Tree. Compared to the other Tier 2 Masteries (Merciless, Meditation, Runic Armor, and Veteran's Scars) Vampirism and Natural Talent don't feel as good.
The reason for this is that their power is mostly invisible and not immediately usable.
2% Life Steal in the early game results in less than 1 Health restored per auto attack. And 10 Attack Damage at level 18 really isn't that overwhelming.
I also wanted to offer an alternative to Natural Talent.
Natural Talent could grant Attack Damage and Ability Power based on missing Health. This fits to Ferocity's theme of drawn-out fights based on damage.
The longer the fight and the more damage you receive -- the more you commit -- the more stats you get.
Like so:
** Natural Talent: ** Grants up to 5 (+0.08/0.16/0.24/0.32/0.4 per level) Attack Damage and 9 (+0.1/0.2/0.3/0.4/0.5 per level) Ability Power based on missing Health (highest value at 10% Health).
This would be more powerful in the early game and less powerful in the late game ... Alternatively, Natural Talent could just grant raw stats with diminished increase per level stats, so players can see their investment from the get go, like so:
Natural Talent
Grants 0.6/1.2/1.8/2.4/3 (+0.08/0.16/0.24/0.32/0.4 per level) Attack Damage and 1.2/2.4/3.6/4.8/6 (+0.1/0.2/0.3/0.4/0.5 per level) Ability Power.
However, this would give Marksmen back some Attack Damage at level one ... How strong is the Ferocity Tree right now? Maybe the buff could just slide by and nobody would notice :D
Edit: The latter suggestion would benefit Mages greatly, as they have some troubles farming without the Spellsword mastery, and they like to have a lot of Ability Power at level one.
