Matchmaking is askew because personal mmr is not taken into account, only the team's

In lower ELO's it's basically a coinflip to see if you are going to win the game or not. Normally in a snowball meta like this it really wouldn't be too much big of a deal, but now it's as prevalent as ever. Comebacks are at an all time low and are a rarity at this point, if you fall behind you stay behind and the game makes sure of that.

But in lower ELO's its so much worse, the matchmaking only cares about team MMR, they want A + B + C + D + E = a number. They don't care about the individuals for the most part.

I want you to picture this. There's a basketball match about to happen. One team is composed of Michael Jordan and 4 High school amateur basketball players, and the other is composed of a low ranking professional basketball team.

Yes, both overall have about the same number, but Michael Jordan's team is going to lose every single time. Just because one player is extremely good doesn't make up for 4 garbage players in a team based game. What's going to happen is Michael Jordan is gonna play like a badass, but the high schoolers are going to get the ball stolen from them every single time and cant land a basket for shit. You can't win a game like that singlehandedly, despite what Space Jam might tell you.

This is what happens in lower elos. Some people are genuinely are of lower strength and are at an appropriate level, and some people are just stuck there because of this system. 1 Dyrus and 4 Silvers are going to lose to a team of 5 platinums, it's just that simple.

This is another reason to bring back solo queue, so shit like this can be fixed.
