How to bring back AP Ezreal
Make W deal half base damage on hit, half base damage on mark. BUT the AD ratio applies to the mark, while the AP ratio applies to the initial hit.
Basically, AD has to proc the mark to get full value, AP does not.
Riot, this will give you the design space you need to dig yourself out of the hole you've dug. (Just be sure to address how this gives us an extra muramana proc in the current muramana rules)
Reduce W damage to towers(glad to see that on the PBE Riot, a step in the right direction)
But we still need to make the mana return on W be a flat amount, and given from auto attacks, and over all be less powerful.
I'd like to see W range reduced back to 1000, making it match Q just waters down what makes each spell different.
I'd like to see the cool down reduced too, but I think that's wishful thinking.
Riot, I feel so defeated. Normally this is where I'd go into a long post explaining all this design, but I already did that, so I'll simply state it.
For anyone interested, I made this post before the details of the rework got announced, while I've refined my stance, it's still the same stance at a core level. The mark system works well, but only if used correctly. Riot failed to fully understand how to implement the mark and it resulted in a half baked, poor rework that destroyed AP Ezreal.
