Placed in silver V?
Ok so not going to lie I'm not great at league, however in my placement matches I won 3 out of 10 and was placed in silver 5. I'm no expert but that doesn't sound right any thoughts on why this happened?

Win the first 3 then lost 7?
because its already the end of the season, dont think that all the pros that were place there at the start of the season are still there, if your 2-3 months before season ends same thing, if you did ranked at the begginning of the new season it would have placed you even lower, but it dosent matter anyway not likle silver 5 is great anyway while its still below average of the playerbase ranking
Are you happy, or sad about it? Or just confused?
was this your first placements ever or did you play ranked last season? because the system takes into consideration your last rank too and heavily weights it. for example, i was diamond 5 in season 4 and when season 5 started, i won i think 8 placements and only got into plat 1. a friend of mine was diamond 4 and he won only 4 placement matches and got into diamond 5.
so i guess, whatever. be happy about your placement and if you deserve it, you'll stay there.
My friend won 6 out of 10 with around 3.75 KDA and was placed in silver 4. I don't understand this and never will.
I also won 3 or 4 and got placed in silver 5
It takes into account your prior rank when calculating your new rank post placement games. If you were Bronze V last season, if you won 10/10, you're still likely to achieve Bronze 1.
If you've never played ranked before, it's a helluva lot different. The difficulty scales up with each game won, placing you against higher ranked players. It threw you into Silver because you've already won several games against Bronze players, though you struggled to win against anything higher than Silver.
It is important to remember that initial placement games for someone that hasn't played ranked before are often exaggerated, as 10 games pales in comparison to someone who has prior played upwards of 100 ranked games. The system just creates a rough idea, rather than an accurate placement.
