He can proxy in any matchup where he can shove the lane. So he can proxy against almost any champion. Teemo, quinn, Vayne, and Gnar are some of his harder matchups for proxy.
If you get ignored by your jungler vs a vayne, it might be better to just intentionally miss an entire wave so you can actually farm with proxy.

Ranged champions or champions that are fast/have ways to get on top of him are going to be his hardest proxy matchups. You don't want the enemy to catch you before you get to a turret to suicide. Another problem would be if they can proxy back. Someone like Tryndamere I'd imagine wouldn't have a hard time proxying back since he has a pretty big heal when he has max rage. He'd also be hard to get away from. Basically anyone you know can't catch you will make an easy proxy lane. If they have some form of mobility they might be somewhat difficult depending on how much and what defenses they have.
Proxying was easier when there wasnt so much damage in the game. Now the only time i proxy is when im shoving an enwmy under tower frequently.
